Step 1: Comprehensive Consultation

Your optometrist will begin by discussing your:

  • Vision and general health history
  • Current symptoms or concerns
  • Lifestyle, work and visual demands

Step 2: Full Diagnostic Testing

Using our advanced equipment, your optometrist will conduct a tailored series of clinical assessments, which may include:

  • Refraction and visual acuity testing
  • Eye pressure measurement
  • Binocular vision evaluation
  • Retinal imaging
  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
  • Corneal topography and other advanced diagnostics (as needed)

Step 3: Review & Advice

Once testing is complete, your optometrist will:

  • Explain the results in clear, understandable terms
  • Discuss treatment or correction options suited to your needs
  • Answer any questions you may have

Tailored Recommendations:

You’ll leave your appointment with a clear understanding of your eye health and any next steps. This may include:

  • A prescription for glasses or contact lenses, or an introduction to trialling rigid contact lenses
  • Personalised treatment plans (e.g. for dry eye, myopia or corneal conditions)
  • Lifestyle advice or visual training plans
  • A follow-up booking for therapy, fittings or monitoring

If you’re selecting eyewear, our dispensing team will guide you through frame styles, lens options and fittings with expert advice.

After Your Visit

We’re committed to your long-term eye health. You’ll receive:

  • Help scheduling any follow-up care
  • Report or referral to your general practitioner, specialist or ophthalmologist
  • A summary of your exam and recommendations (on request)

How Long Will It Take?

Most first appointments take 45 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs and the complexity of any testing.

We recommend allowing a little extra time for eyewear selection if you need glasses.
